RCL Fort York Branch 165 is committed to maintaining the privacy of its members and public users of this web site.

RCL Fort York Branch 165 does not rent or sell the names of members to any organization or advertiser. On occasion, The Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Command may provide a partner in the Member Benefits Package Program with members’ NAMES AND ADDRESSES ONLY to advise them of products and services being offered.

New members are required to give consent, or otherwise, to this procedure by signing the Privacy Statement on the Membership Application Form. Current members’ information will be made available unless Dominion Command is notified otherwise. Please note that members who wish to change their Privacy information status must do so through their branch by requesting that the branch submit a Member Data Change Form to the Dominion Command Membership Departmen

Collection of Information

The RCL Fort York Branch 165 web site does not automatically collect any specific personal information from you, such as your name, phone number or e-mail address. We would only obtain this type of information if you supply it to The Royal Canadian Legion via Membership Application, Member Data Change Form or other branch channel information procedures.

For members, you can view the basic personal information that we have on file for you by visiting your profile page. We encourage you to correct any errors that you might encounter. By default, only the Branch administrators (e.g. Membership  and Treasurer) can view your personal information but you can adjust your privacy settings if you wish.  For example, if you wanted to share your email address with all members you could do so.

We may collect non-personal identification information through the use of web ‘cookie’ technology and/or IP address tracking. Non-personal identification information might include the browser you use, the type of computer, the operating systems, the Internet Service Provider and the areas you visit on our web site.  All of this information is not identified with you personally.

We use such information in the aggregate to monitor network traffic and to understand how our users as a group use the services and resources provided on this website. This way, we know which areas are the favourites of our visitors, which areas need improvement and what technologies are being used so that we may continually improve the functionality of our site.
